## DESIGN FROZEN vs EXECUTION COMPLETED — MUST NOT BE CONFLATED
| |||
| |||
1. **DESIGN FROZEN** — the protocol `r2-h-v0.1.0-frozen` and the manifest
| |||
`R2-H-MANIFEST-v0.1.0-frozen` were frozen before execution. At design time
| |||
they carried the status `DESIGN FROZEN — EXECUTION NOT AUTHORIZED`.
| |||
2. **EXECUTION COMPLETED** — a controlled execution subsequently ran under the
| |||
frozen protocol; the execution manifest, the inference file, and the report
| |||
record the completed run and its **NULL** outcome.
| |||
| |||
`DESIGN FROZEN` is a pre-execution lifecycle state; `EXECUTION COMPLETED` is a
| |||
post-execution lifecycle state. `NULL` is the scientific outcome of the
| |||
completed execution — an acceptable, non-positive result, never a failure.
