Timeframes and State Modes

Fixed 9-TF universe

The production configuration evaluates exactly nine timeframes:

# Timeframe
1 M1
2 M5
3 M15
4 M30
5 H1
6 H4
7 D1
8 W1
9 MN1

All nine timeframes are always analyzed. There are no per-timeframe enable or disable inputs; M1…MN1 form the fixed MTF universe.

State modes

The InpCandleSource input selects the evaluated candle: CURRENT (index 0 — the current bar) or CLOSED (index 1 — the last completed bar).

CURRENT

  • The current, in-progress bar of each timeframe is evaluated.
  • CURRENT-mode evaluation is deliberately rate-limited and staggered (a small round-robin budget per pass), so a single symbol tick does not recompute all nine timeframes on every terminal tick.

CLOSED

  • The most recently completed (closed) bar of each timeframe is evaluated.
  • A timeframe is recomputed only when that timeframe's own most recent closed-bar timestamp changes. Between that timeframe's own bar closes no recomputation is needed, because closed-bar values are fixed.
  • The board caption always displays the active mode (CLOSED or CURRENT).

Validation scope note

The recorded R4 validation snapshot (see Validation) was produced with the indicator in CLOSED mode on XAUUSD, covering all nine timeframes. The CLOSED-state evidence is scoped to that recorded snapshot.
